Privacy Policy
Photo Lesson (the “App”) handles user information only as needed to provide photography and composition practice, AR viewpoint recreation, lesson progress, community posts, and subscriptions.
Information We Collect
| Account information | User ID, email address, provider profile name and image, and authentication session information received through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. If you use the App without signing in, we automatically create a guest user ID. Authentication sessions are stored in the device Keychain. |
|---|---|
| Authentication and fraud prevention | When Sign in with Google is used, Google may process approximate location inferred from IP address, device identifiers, usage data, and other diagnostic or authentication-related information. |
| Learning and usage | Lesson progress, completion dates, practice and evaluation results, saved posts, and AR viewpoint recreation usage. |
| Posts and community | Viewpoint data shared for the daily challenge, timestamps, likes, reports, and blocks. Posts store viewpoint data such as the AR object and camera position and orientation, not photographic images. |
| Camera | The camera is used to display 3D objects and evaluate viewpoints in AR lessons. The App is not designed to store camera video or captured photos on its servers. |
| Purchases | If paid plans are offered, the App checks subscription status, product ID, expiration, and renewal status through the App Store and RevenueCat. The App does not retain payment details such as credit card numbers. |
| Support inquiries | Email address, inquiry content, and support history sent when you contact us. |

Third-Party Services
The App uses the following services. Each may handle information as necessary for authentication, storage, content delivery, subscription verification, and app distribution.
| Apple | App Store, Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, refunds, and subscription management. |
|---|---|
| Identity verification, abuse prevention, and authentication analysis through Sign in with Google. Google may process user ID, approximate location inferred from IP address, device identifiers, usage data, and related authentication information. | |
| Supabase | Authentication, database, Edge Functions, lesson progress, posts, reports, and block data. |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status, product ID, expiration, and renewal status. |
| Cloudflare | Delivery of static assets such as AR objects and publication of this website. |
Retention and Deletion
Cloud data linked to an account is retained while the account exists and as needed to provide the service. You can delete either a signed-in account or an automatically generated guest account from the Account screen. Deletion removes the authentication user, RevenueCat customer information, profile, synchronized lesson progress, posts, likes, viewpoint recreation history, reports, blocks, practice results, and other user-linked data. It does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.
Data stored on the device may be removed through the App, OS settings, or deletion of the App. Support and legally required records may be retained for the necessary period.
Withdrawing Consent and Changing Permissions
You can change camera access in iOS Settings. You can stop linked login through the provider settings or by logging out or deleting your App account. Subscriptions can be canceled in App Store subscription management.
Security
We use safeguards such as Keychain storage for authentication information, Supabase Row Level Security, and HTTPS to help prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or disclosure.
